THE AVENUE
The owners of this heritage-listed property in Randwick didn’t want to live in an historical monument. Their brief to us was ‘we want to be able to push back the chairs, turn up the music and dance in the dining room’ and we were only to happy to oblige.
Working closely with the heritage architects and builder to meet all preservation requirements, we reimagined the kitchen, dining, and powder rooms along with the laundry and home office with a sensitivity grounded in classic design principles balanced with a healthy dose of playfulness.
Some of favourite features include:
Without a doubt, the heated, herringbone tile & timber floor which references the home’s heritage while visually expanding the narrow width of the terrace
The striking marble benchtops and custom velvet banquette in the dining space, referencing the clients’ favourite restaurant in Paris
The whimsical wallpaper in the powder room creating a playfully engaging experience
Floor-to-ceiling custom joinery in the study providing plenty of tailored storage and display for treasured objet d’art
“We are so happy with every big and little thing you’ve done on our interior design. The entire process has been smooth and stress-free. We are excited to have people over to show off our beautiful home. Thank you!”
