1. DISCOVER

Donna begins by understanding your routines, practical frustrations, favourite activities, tastes and priorities. you do not need to arrive knowing the design solutions. These conversations give Donna what she needs to identify opportunities you may not have considered and establish a clear direction for your most fulfilling home.

2. IMAGINE

Donna translates those insights into a cohesive design, balancing functionality with colour, materials, furnishings and unexpected details that evoke personality and delight. Working with trusted suppliers and trades, we develop the plans, elevations, visualisations and material selections needed to show you how the transformation will come together. Then comes the first big reveal: your Design Presentation.

3. Transform

Once the design is approved, responsibility for bringing the many pieces together stays with The Space Within. We procure materials and products, coordinate with trades, prepare for installation and keep a close eye on the design, schedule and details as work progresses. You remain informed and involved without becoming responsible for orchestrating the transformation yourself.

4. Unveil

After all the planning, decisions, deliveries and activity comes the moment when everything finally has its place. The furniture is in, the art is hung and the practical details have been considered right down to drawers and corners. Now the home is yours: invite friends over, turn up the music, cook something fun or simply enjoy how much easier daily life has become.

We lead the conceptual and detailed design, including plans and elevations, custom joinery and furniture, materials, finishes, fixtures and furnishings. Then, we manage procurement, installation and design oversight through to completion.

The Blueprint

Sometimes the most valuable first step is knowledge. The Blueprint is a focused, two-hour consultation where Donna walks through your home (or reviews your architect’s plans), getting to know your goals, lifestyle and priorities before offering her professional perspective on the best way forward.

Together, you will explore space planning and functionality, preliminary style, colours and materials, whether structural changes make sense, who to engage and when, along with investment considerations. You’ll come away with greater clarity around your project and the decisions ahead, whether you choose to continue with The Space Within or take the next steps yourself.
