Embracing Modern Living: From Kitchen Work Triangles to Functional Work Zones

In today's fast-paced world, our homes must adapt to our ever-evolving lifestyles. That's no more evident than in our kitchens which is why we've embraced the modern design concept of functional work zones, transforming traditional layouts into dynamic spaces that cater to your multi-functional needs.

Gone are the days of rigid kitchen work triangles—today's kitchens are all about flexibility and efficiency. We understand that families use their kitchens for much more than just cooking, which is why we design them with functionality and versatility in mind. In our Curl Curl Kitchen/Laundry project, we removed walls to open up the kitchen and invite light and circulation space into the home and we extended the kitchen bench under the stairway to create an eat-at island that can double as a work space., In our Drummoyne Kitchen, we ‘detached’ the island from the wall to improve circulation around the kitchen and to the new laundry/pantry. This was a game changer for a family that entertains regularly, often bringing caterers in for large events.

Enhancing Comfort & Convenience

Not all enhancements require major construction. Often, even the smallest changes can make a significant impact. It could be as straightforward as reversing a door swing or removing/adding a door to an opening to make a room function more effectively for your family. Or, it may be adjusting the furniture layout of a room and incorporating bespoke storage solutions, to create a visually interesting and supremely comfortable space that supports your everyday needs.

We believe that a well-designed home should not only look beautiful but also feel comfortable and inviting. That's why we pay careful attention to every detail, from the placement of furniture to the selection of materials. For example, in projects like our South Coogee residence, we removed walls in the entry and kitchen to open up the space and completely transform the flow and feel of the room.
