 1.  When should I engage an Interior Designer? 

Whether you are building new or renovating existing, we believe engaging a Designer as early in the process as possible will result in the best possible outcome.  We work collaboratively with architects, builders and clients to deliver a design that connects and flows seamlessly throughout your home.

2. Why hire an Interior Designer?

Renovating is complex and it’s not something that you do regularly so hiring an Interior Designer, who specialises in just this type of work, will save you time, keep your sanity intact and optimise your investment.  We have the resources, knowledge and expertise to tackle whatever challenges and opportunities exist in creating the home that supports the lifestyle you want.

3.  How do I work out what my budget should be?

There are number of factors that come into play when determining your renovation investment and there is not a one-size fits all solution.  We work closely with you to understand your goals, priorities and individual situation and develop an investment plan that works for you.

4. How long will the project take and will I need to move out?

Project timelines vary significantly based on the scope, complexity, time of year and other factors.  We work closely with our trades and suppliers to understand the lead time, process  and scheduling of each step of the process and provide clients with a project calendar prior to beginning the implementation.

In most cases you are able to remain at home during the renovation project. However, depending on the scale of the project, there will be pros and cons to doing so.  We can advise on this and provide alternative approaches to help ease the process of renovating.

5.  Can you integrate my favourite pieces of furniture or accessories into the design?

We love building pieces that show the spirit and personality of our clients into our new designs and will work to integrate these successfully.   In some cases, we may not see an ideal fit for a particular item and we will let you know why.  Ultimately, it will be your decision though.

6.  Can I work with my own builder/trades?

We work with a team of talented and qualified trades, consultants and suppliers who specialise in renovating the hardest working rooms in your home.  Each trade is licensed and insured and conforms to the highest industry standards and practices.

We do work with clients’ own trades however we do not take responsibility for the timing, quality or outcomes of the work performed.

7. I’m not really sure what my style is.  Do I need to know this first?

Many of our clients come to us because they aren’t sure which direction to take or are struggling to narrow down a number of different possibilities.  Don’t underestimate how difficult this can be!  We listen to and work with you to distill your wants, needs and desires into a cohesive, engaging style that is uniquely yours.

8.  Who are your typical clients?

We work with clients at all stages of life from young professionals to empty-nesters, entrepreneurs and corporate professionals, families with young children and those with beloved pets.  We also work across all sizes and styles of homes from Federation semis to large, contemporary family homes.

 The common thread is that they are ready to invest in creating a home that they delight in and one that delivers ease in their day-to-day life.  They value the creative process as well as the experience and expertise of a professional design team.

9. Do you have a signature design style?

While we have a definite design ‘point-of-view’ creating singular interiors of fresh, spirited designs, we pride ourselves on our flexibility to work across a variety of styles to create the right outcome for our clients.
